Mechagodzilla, Gipsy Danger, Wikus van de Merwe, Rick Sanchez and Darth Vader have challenged DIO, Loki, Eren Yeager, Blue Eyes White Dragon and Emperor Palpatine to a fight! Location of the fight: District 9 - The slum camp of Johannesburg, South Africa where all the prawns are contained. No prawns or military are present. . Which side will win?

Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence), focusing on how the characters would function in a real-time environment.

- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.

- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.

- There may be SPOILERS from all of the shows/movies the characters are from.

Rules for Voting

- Bold your votes (using bold HTML tags).

- You do not need to require justification for your vote, though the admins reserve the right to disqualify votes in the advent of obvious alt voting and other similar scenarios.

- Leaders cannot vote for their own teams, but they are free to argue their case.

- If you want to switch your votes simply bold the change; there's no need to delete your post, though you may if you wish.

- This match will end in 24 hours.

Kiryu, AKA Mechagodzilla is as seen in the Millenium era Godzilla films piloted by Akane Yashiro. It has access to all weapons seen in those films.

Gipsy Danger is as it appears in Pacific Rim, piloted by Mako Mori and Raleigh Becket. It has access to all of its weapons and capabilities seen therein, with the exception of detonating its core for a nuclear blast. Whenever Gipsy Danger enters combat, it will sound its horn, instantly alerting all mercenaries throughout the terrain that battle is underway, regardless of distance. Additionally, Rick Sanchez's Get Schwifty will begin to play, and will persist until the end of the battle.

Wikus appears as he does prior to the end of District 9, half human and half prawn (though he's fully in control of both halves). In addition, he comes to battle in a prawn Exosuit, equipped with an ARC lightning gun, missile launcher, machine gun, projectile electroshock weapon, and defensive magnetic field. He may leave the exosuit at any time, equipped with a handheld ACR gun.

Rick Sanchez is as he appears throughout Rick and Morty. Rick comes to battle in his combat suit from "Look Who's Purging Now," and also has access to his portal gun, particle beam wrist watch, freeze ray, laser gun and snake holster. He may leave the combat suit at any time, at which point he still has access to his augmentations, including his arm gun, groin protector and nano-fiber defense mesh. He may only portal to places within the terrain. Touching him does not necessarily cause instant death.

Darth Vader is as he appears in the Star Wars films and Rebels, carrying his lightsaber and with all powers explicitly shown.

DIO is as he appears in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, before drinking Joseph Joestar's blood. He possesses all techniques demonstrated in Phantom Blood, but cannot create zombies or manipulate minds using flesh buds. He can only last up to 30 cumulative seconds (excluding frozen time) in direct sunlight, at which point he will immediately perish.

Loki is as he appears in the Thor films and Avengers carrying his scepter and daggers. He may not mind control people.

Eren Yeager is as he appears in the Attack on Titan anime and manga, featuring all abilities, equipment and feats from both. He may switch between his human and titan forms at will, and retains his canon regenerative abilities. In his human form, he comes equipped with his vertical maneuvering equipment.

Blue Eyes White Dragon is as it appears in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, the ancient dragon the card was based on rather than the card-based hologram, though the feats and abilities from the card and from the manga are applicable.

Emperor Palpatine is as he appears in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, with his lightsaber and all abilities seen therein and in Return of the Jedi.

Pretty sure Loki would handle freezing pretty well, given that he's half frost-giant. DIO can also potentially handle it, problem being that Johannesburg is almost entirely in direct sunlight so he's gonna have a hard time navigating the terrain

it's hard to get what exactly is happening but he basically holds his own against Zorc, which is the ultimate god of death. For comparison, Exodia destroys an entire massive undead army in one blast, and then Zorc defeats him in one hit like it's nothing.

I'm thinking Palpatine and Vader immediately go for each other, with Palpatine probably winning that

Overall I think this is definitely leaning toward Team Mecha. Loki and Blue Eyes would probably hold their own against Mecha, Gipsy and Wikus for a while, but once Dio's gone, they're at a serious disadvantage. Nobody on their team can really handle Rick's tech all that well (and Loki's tricks wouldn't really work on him).

Mecha probably eventually outtanks Blue Eyes, and Yeager can't hold off the pure firepower on the other side.

I figure Palps beats Vader, but it isn't a huge gap, they'll be trading shots for awhile. Blue Eyes can probably hold off one of the giant robots, not both though.

hmm, I'm not sure on this fight honestly. It seems a lot more even than it looks... Dio's the wild card, considering the ability to freeze time for 9 seconds is plenty to kill someone, and the location has plenty of non-sun to be able to get to a position that he can pause time, and then just kill someone.

I know nothing about Dio. Can he kill Gipsy Danger? If so this gets a lot closer

I haven't seen much Jojo so my knowledge is limited, but the basics are:
-Vampire
-Can fly
-Can regenerate
-Super strong
-Can project an even stronger "Stand" (a sort of light being he controls) that is even stronger than DIO and the most durable thing in this match
-Can regenerate entire body parts fairly quickly
-Can stop time for up to 9 seconds (I thought it was 5 but I'll take Zeeks' word)

He's definitely super strong but against two giant mechs it's iffy

There is actually one more thing that needs done though:
I... I Stopped Time (Start of Battle) - Heroes tend to have the worst knack for rising to the occasion. In every match that DIO participates in, a random post-rosters mercenary of the highest upkeep on the opposing team will be conscious during the frozen time, and will be able to move for one second during it per time freeze.

That ability should be a trigger, not a SoB, so I'll fix that and roll.

I don't know if DIO can kill two giant mechs in Johannesburg without being in the sun for 30 seconds. If he could wait for the enemy in one of the shacks, I could see it, but that's not possible against two giant mechs.

The thing about DIO's timestop is that there's no real reason that he can't spam it other than hubris, personality, and exhaustion. The World's power is directly tied to DIO's own - he trained up his tolerance and exertion from a fraction of a second to five full seconds through repeatedly pushing his limits. So theoretically, the position of DIO is:

-Stop time, do thing
-See what happens after the thing happens
-React

He can be interrupted whilst stopping time, but overall we're talking a significant deal of time stoppage within 30 seconds.

Also he has laser eyes made out of blood and eye fluid and can instantly turn objects that he touches to freezing temperatures. This includes a rose, a man's legs, and a sword.

Also one time he cut off a cat's head and put it inside a sandwich a man was eating. Time unfroze and the man ate his cat sandwich. It's not "frozen time, but everyone has their senses". It's "DIO just gets five free seconds every time he can say 'THE WORLD' really loudly and nobody can do anything about it".

Just to give the guy his due. I dunno the extent of Mechagodzilla's total output.
