the problem is that Trump says "FAKE NEWS" to mean "anything that paints me in a negative light, no matter how slight". the man is such a raging narcissist that he genuinely believes any criticism against him is objectively impossible because in his mind he's infallible. and his slurpers just slurp that shit right up.

As long as they intentionally bias every article, the media is definitely the enemy of the people.

It's not the kind of thing a politician should say because in concept it's absolutely untrue just like in concept your arm isn't detrimental to your health, but tourniquets exist because they can become that way.

Worth noting I dont think anyone in history has ever claimed any media is completely without bias. To varying degrees, they are human beings with their own slant and when that gets out of hand it is worth critiquing.

What boggles the mind, though, is the vast number of people who have decided this is the #1 plague in America while devotedly following a man who objectively, openly, provably lies to the American people multiple times per minute.
