+ Got the corporate office WAN design finished
+ Got hired on full time
+ Got a raise
+ Moved into a new apartment that is bigger, nicer, cheaper, and closer to work

- Busted a tire a few months ago, which prompted me to buy 4 new tires because it was almost time to replace them any way

my mom's kidney issues got worse
my dad's illness got worse
my income took a hit
debt went up
my back hurts
my ankle randomly broke and its been broken for like 3 months.

i went to korea that was fun. but everything else that happened this year brought my rating down.

Got a raise (months late; doing so much extra work for 7 months and not compensated for it), but otherwise about 1/10.

pretty good. bought my first house when the interest rates were really low. and now my work commute is 5 minutes.

- Had to leave job and still unemployed
- All around boring
- Trump is still President and our congress believes a dictatorship is awesome
- Having a hard time losing my winter weight, even being active
- I don't even know where I want to be in five years or so and still cannot figure that out

8/10 - got a promotion at work, nice vacation with my wife, points off for an expensive car problem that popped up and my parent's dog dying.

- Wife legal troubles with earlier employer

+ Double the salary in new job
+ Dissertation approved, defense scheduled
+ Living a healthier, active life

can't think about anything that I enjoyed about this year, but I can't remember anything terrible happening

-I've lost two grandparents
-My car went out on me
-I have a new hospital bill with no insurance
-I missed out on some nice homes due to the car and some financial hardships.

It's not over yet but it could be better.

Probably the most challenging year of my life. And I thought 2017 was bad

Oh yeah, a rating. Lets say 3/10

On the positive side, I got promoted and a fat 20% raise (and I was already making low six figures)

Everything else has been shit but Id rather not list why

January - March were ok
April and May were absolutely horrible
Half of June was still horrible, but it got better
August is lookin good, July was fantastic.

-Moved in with my boyfriend
-Finally living in a house; a nice one at that
-Finally financially stable
-Fun renovations in the house, all by my design
-Started seeing a much-needed therapist
-Started seeing a psychiatrist; prescribed medication to stabilize mood and anxiety
-Finally went back to school after six years
-Started going to the gym for the first time and feel healthy
-Completely and totally in love with my boyfriend of almost two years now
-Cut my toxic family out of my life
-Steady job I enjoy with decent income
-Finally a happy place, mentally, physically and emotionally
-I have two people I truly love and care about in my life who I'd do anything for and vice versa; essentially cut out everyone else.
-Finally left my horrible past behind me.
-Finally was able to change my license, plates, title and registration back to my home state.

A very good year, with even more good things to come.

- In the process of losing my job.
- Relationship issues.
- Parents health deteriorating.
- Absolutely atrocious scheduling on the part of my employer.

+ Starting school again as a CS major.
+ Have friends in the industry, chances of getting a job are likely.
+ Have a supportive family and friends.
+ Trump is still President for another 6 and a half years.
+ Community college is dirt cheap.
