I have 1 that's healing and another that's about the size of a pea that hurts like a devil. Any tips on how to relieve the pain would be wonderful.

i use listerine. It'll burn like a mothafucker but then once you're done rinsing it out the pain will be less then before you rinsed since the area is cleaned.

For me it helps speed up recovery maybe by a day or so, but unfortunately theres no magic trick to heal it much quicker. just takes time

Is warm water with salt a good idea? I used it like a few times before and it burns as well.

yeah that's another trick I've heard, try it see if it works for you. There's also some sprays you can buy at CVS for em, but I didn't find they helped that much.

I get canker sores fairly often from food. I can usually eat salty things without a problem, but once in a while my mouth will be like "nah, fuck you." Get Listerine strips. Put a strip on the canker sore and it'll burn for about 20 seconds, but then you'll be pain-free for a few hours. You can buy them at any store with a hygiene area. They're small and portable so you can carry a pack around if you start to feel pain while you're out and about. I'd recommend the "normal" Listerine strips first or the mint ones. There's a red pack that will burn worse.

One thing that will definitely help the pain but not necessarily heal it is salt. Expose the canker, literally pour salt on it. It will be the most painful thing known to mankind for a few seconds. After it washes out though, you will have much more muted pain for like 15 minutes.

Anbesol is supposed to help it heal faster.

Other than that, try to get some extra sleep. One common cause is exhaustion and lack of sleep.

Fun fact
There is no known cause or cure for canker sores

Doctors don't know why some people get them frequently or why others almost never get them

I for one get them monthly and Salt water helps the pain
