Grandmaster Sexay is apparently dead via suicide.
He was one of my absolute favorites as a kid and this is depressing as hell. It's also got me thinking about Jerry. --- Hail Hydra ... Copied to Clipboard!

Oh, that's Jerry Lawler's son? Not sure I ever saw any of this work. His dad is an all-time great, though.

Unfortunately, he spent most his career as a jobber, which imo, was a station well below his actual talent.
He did get over as part of a tag team with Scotty 2 Hotty, where the two of them achieved the most success of their careers; their highlight being a dance in the middle of the Royal Rumble: I posted some stuff of his in this thread: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/218-pro-wrestling-wwe/76853563 --- Hail Hydra ... ^Yep.
These are some of my thoughts on that whole thing: At some point or another, the dirty laundry will be aired out. It wouldn't surprised me if BC was, at best, polarizing. Even in his normal interviews he was always pretty loud and eccentric. Then there's the particularly nasty rumor involving Bradshaw. And of course, the legal troubles. He went a good stretch between his initial arrest/firing and last couple months before his death, but I doubt he actually stayed out of trouble in any sort of capacity. --- Hail Hydra ... It is a tragedy that the man fell so hard but I don't think Brian Christopher could have been anything more than a mid-card jobber. He's like Curt Hawkins of the 90s.

He was a terrible person and his career flopped because of it. I still think it's too soon to say all of that. The absolute worst things we know about him are the recent pair of DUIs. Which while pretty bad, don't quite paint a person for who they are entirely. And of course, it's going to depend on who you talk to in the wrestling world. Hurricane seemed pretty fond of the guy, and Shane himself is a pretty decent guy. But yes, I do personally believe as more and more about BC is revealed, he'll have turned out to be kind of a dickhead. JTekashiro posted... Because he had a limited moveset? He's one of the smoothest wrestlers I've seen in the ring and he was pretty good at selling. At worst, imo, he was a damn good worker that could use some work on his promos. --- Hail Hydra ... Copied to Clipboard!

didn't have any standout in-ring abilities or maneuvers. I disagree with that. He had one of the best dropkicks, the full-nelson slam. Every now and then, he'd pull out that sit-out powerbomb. But his best attribute was just how damn well he moved in the ring. --- Hail Hydra ... Copied to Clipboard!

I definitely recognize the name because I was obsessed with pro wrestling from about 2001-2005. I didn't think he was really anything special at the time but it's always a tragedy when stuff like this happens.

I dusted off my Gamecube the other day and hooked it up for the first time in forever. One of the things I got interested in while browsing online was the Day of reckoning games. Were they any good? Single player-wise and potentially multiplayer if I can get people together. I loved the DOR games. DOR1's story mode was a lot better than DOR2. It has you start in developmental then gives you the choice of being drafted to Raw (Evolution angle) or Smackdown (New Ministry angle). DOR2's story mode acknowledged the Raw angle and had your character dating one of the Divas (possibly Stacy? Can't remember). The other big difference between DOR1 and 2 otherwise is that DOR2 added a fatigue system. As such, DOR1's pacing is a lot faster because you don't need to worry about conserving energy. (And DOR1 is probably my favorite wrestling game.) --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ... Copied to Clipboard!
