What context? The fact that a bunch of guys in their 20's decided to invite a 12 year old girl on a camping trip? I don't particularly care if they asked her parents. That thought shouldn't have even crossed their minds. It should have been "hey, should we ask this 12 year old girl to come on the trip with us? Wait, no, she's 12 and that's fucking inappropriate." That guy (and his friends, tbh) is creepy as hell and going out of his way to form a bond with a 12 year old. The fact that he even felt the need to ask if it was weird speaks volumes, tbh.

I made this topic because I knew it was a weird and awkward encounter, and thought I'd share the story because it's not something that happens very often. When's the last time you heard of a child asking out an adult in front of her parents? No way in hell I would've done that when I was a kid.

This was probably 7-8 years ago, but I had this young teenage girl keep turning around and looking at me in a grocery store line. She was blushing and smiling at me. I tried to ignore her. That was weird as hell. She was there with her Dad, too.

Two things

1) Anyone who doesnt believe this couldve happened hasnt interacted with many 14-16 girls. I work in a high school and while its certainly not FREQUENT, Ive had to shut down some openly flirty behavior from several girls. Lots of younger male teachers do. Theyre hormonal too, just like boys, and youre a grown man but not dad-aged, probably not a lot of those in their lives. Frankly, this can be especially true for girls who develop early physically because theyre still pretty much kids but want to be a grown up as fast as possible and suddenly feel enabled to do so. It happens. The mom seemingly enabling it in this story is weird but broken/messed up homes are a thing, so its possible.

2) That said, I was ready to say TC didnt really do anything creepy at all or have any weird thoughts, but the more defensive he gets, the less I believe that tbh. Especially deflecting to the rock climbing guy and lying about aspects of that story to make himself look better.

When I first took over the produce department at my old store there was a hot girl and a banging mom. They both dressed the same and showed off there goods. The worrying & stress is so draining on the mother emotionally thats its becoming physical. Like its causing health issues and shes starting to grey and wrinkle sooner than she should be. The mother would rather not push her daughter further away & stress herself to death. The mother worries if she were to die then what worse of a life would her daughter have.
