Going through TVHM, level 41 Athena.

Managed to snag a Reogenator (Vending), 3DDI.E (Grinder), Bonus Package (Dropped off a Torg), and Celestial Gladiator mod (Grinder).

Usual loadout is a Jakobs pistol, Hyperion shotty with cryo and a bayonet, usually Jakobs sniper but currently a Hyperion corrosive, and either a Scav SMG or a Hyperion fire laser.

I honestly don't usually use this much Hyperion.

Favorites for weapon class?

Pistol: Jakobs erryday
Shotty: Hyperion or Jakobs
SMG: I like Scav for some reason
Laser: Still working
AR: Honestly don't know, don't use them much.

BPS has its issues, but I actually like a lot of the gameplay changes.

The low gravity is fun to mess around with.

Also cryo>slag. Fucking hate slag.

But motherfuck Shadowtrap. I hate that fight so much.

IIRC Maliwan weapons synergize well with Athena's elemental stack skills. Dunno if you built her out that way. I really like her character but I just can't play her well/comfortably. Maybe I just need to spend more time getting used to her meleeing in the weird lo-grav mechanics.

I usually main Timothy or Aurelia personally and it has been too long since I played TPS for me to be much further use, but I like the game a lot so I'm tracking this topic to follow along~

I don't think it has the Infinity.

I leveled the Aspis skill tree to the last one, now I'm doing Xiphos. Don't reallycare about the Maelstrom tree.

I've got a 47-ish Aurelia as well. She's fun.

I spend a lot of time jumping and boosting.

It's part of the reason I use 3DDI.E exclusively for OZ Kits. Boosted air control.

(Also I love the random healing and item drops, even if he only drops like 2 dollars at a time. He's a bro)

Claptastic Voyage was good, but they never did any of the headhunter things.

It's pretty much just that and two arenas, one of which I didn't even bother getting.

Go to the claptastic DLC and get you a glitch Jacob sniper when the gun turns yellow it gives you are free burst of bullets, when you swap your weapon it actually goes to the other weapons as well( just don't reload or swap out that Jacobs) I did this glitch with Nisha and her lucky cannons and I fucking destroy shit.

Using some Vladof, but it's not really grabbing me.

SCAV sucks remember that, try to look for any gun with the two barrels( this is a vladof barrel) and the spinning Barrel (vladof barrel)

also be on the lookout for Jacob's Gatling as they are very powerful.

Not a huge fan of the Jakobs AR. Which is weird, it's my favorite in almost every other class.

Literally any other gun has a higher damage output the a SCAV minigun.
you don't like Jacob's ARs because you can't make critical.

Any ho the 2nd best is Dahl mini guns or the two barreled Dahl

it's good stuff, i nearly gave up on borderlands pre-sequel once. because my one guy i was playing had weak damage until i found out the power of the laser. shit is OP against enemy's.

I did just get the first level of the skill that makes Bleeding enemies explode. It's awesome.

I've finished the game about 3 times now and its nowhere near as rewarding as Borderlands 2 so I gave up on even attempting to get better weapons cause there really isn't any incentive to do so.

Shame you don't like the Cerulean Storm tree. Athena can do stupid things with that tree once you crank up her stacks with DoT spraying grenades. E.g. at 500 stacks of Maelstrom she gets 80% free ammo for any weapon when Storm Weaving is active. This includes things like rocket launchers.

As for weapons, Maliwan lasers(Blasters or Beams) just embarrass the other brands. The Continual Damage Bonus on the higher rarities means you can get 4x damage out of them, and that's before counting Maliwan's superior damage DoT(which got a general buff in TPS due to the flattened scaling mechanics).

If you don't find a nice AR don't worry. ARs are weak in Borderlands 2/TPS. Compared to SMGs they: have a lower base crit modifier, have less accuracy, have smaller magazines, take longer to reload, have less total ammo capacity, and give you less ammo on pickup. Generally, out of the common gear, items with the Vladof minigun barrel perform better than the other options, due to the nice increases in magazine size and fire rate that come from that barrel. Unfortunately the large, empty expanses of space in TPS further hamper ARs as the reduced accuracy just hurts that much more.

Since you're running a melee Athena you might consider grabbing the Excalibastard once you hit max level. It's a Hyperion cryo railgun laser with a blade attachment that has a very special property: crits auto-freeze enemies. Since frozen enemies take extra melee damage and extra crit damage(also extra explosive damage) you can get a nice 1-2 punch going where you freeze and slice as you go. This can set up her melee override chain by either causing enemies to bleed or quickly die from the frozen slashes to their crit spots.

Moonstone chests suck, don't bother. You're better off paying for Legendary grinds, and it IS possible to get a Luneshine Legendary.

I grabbed an Excalibastard on my Aurelia. Too soon for it to be viable endgame, unfortunately.

It's not that I don't like the elemental tree, I just like the other ones more. I'm at like second to last tier on melee, so that tree is next.

I'll look for a Maliwan laser.

i just started the pre-sequel for the first time and man this game is really crappy. The low grav slows down the gameplay too much. The level design is bland and hard to navigate and worst of all the mission design is absolute shit. You go somewhere, something goes wrong so go elsewhere then return to previous objective then walk all the way back to the quest giver. Its so boring

oh no you trippin it's them damn suck ass scav mini guns I'm telling you you are wasting ammunition I'm a Borderlands veteran I got level 70 Nisha, level 36 lady hammer lock, an o p 7 Gage and op7 miyah ( both of which I can op8 but I don't feel like it) level 54 Axton, level 21 Salvador look basically know that
almost all Bandit/scav AR's except for the attack bar (whatever the pearlescent one is called and that legendary with the Splat paint job) the only AR's that are..... anything that isn't Bandit or SCAV....
