It's about a 18 year old kid who discovers the world is bigger than he thinks. He goes on an adventure, makes friends, finds love and discovers who he is.

It's more or less the same thing every time.

not even always 18. sometimes younger. but also it's literal youth worship. all the main heroes tend to be like high school age. and there is always this grizzed washed up hero (cid) who meets them and he's only like 30 but he is portrayed like an old man and a has been.

in jrpg's, you have a very small window of being relevant. your a little kid until like age 15. then from 15 to maybe 20, you are a hero that can save the world. as soon as you turn 20 you are like middle age. and by 30 your an ancient elderly person

lol I've only played a few but are any of them actually like this

FFX should have been Jecht/Braska/Auron's story
FFX-2 could then have been what we know today as FFX
FFX-3 would not need to exist

Also FFVIII should have been from Laguna's perspective the entire time

Auron looks way older than 35, idk what's canon as far as his physical age though

I like that he isn't a wizened old magic user even though he's obviously older than most of your party members

I think he's a little older. He should be roughly the same age as Jecht and 35 would be a little young to be Tidus's dad.
