I do not think so due given the support from the population and from his party from the 2006 midterm elections. He did not have the balls to support the common americans, but he was extremely aggressive when it came towards defending wall street's globalist agenda and their pocket books. In addition, he let the opposition run all over him instead of standing up for himself. The other major ding to his presidency was that it was followed TRUMP.

He was a respectable statesman and a good politician, but I very much disagree with many of his decisions/indecisions.

But you know America you're setting the bar so low right now that I remember Obama being basically a saint by comparison.

He was good. Too moderate, though. Anything is better than Trump, of course.

Bush wasn't so bad for a right-wing president. He was bad, but not as bad as some libs say. Besides, he was dealt a very bad hand.

he did things I liked mainly because he called out Congress acting like a bunch of children with their pettiness and indecisions.

if he had a Congress that worked with him, he would've been the greatest. Congress working with any president would make the president the greatest.

He was fine. He brought dignity to the the position.

He was too deferential to certain idiots in Congress, but his hand were kind of tied there.

I think he made some bad decisions (targeting an American citizen in a drone attack is top of the list), but overall I think he did good things for our country.

I think he definitely is top 10 in the history of our country.

He was thoroughly mediocre. Which does make him the best president we've had in decades.
A low bar, to be sure.

I have two simultaneous feelings on him and separate him as a symbol and a president.

1.
As a Black person, I felt his inauguration was symbolic that the sky is the limit for us a people. I know that it doesnt mean racism is suddenly over day by day but i did feel that it at least signaled times have changed drastically. But racial tensions are a testy issue in this country, so it was just my personal take that it showed social progress and I have fewer excuses to allow racism to hold me back.

2.
As a President, I was a bit disappointed with a few issues. Such as:

>Bailing out banks

>I was pretty grossed out to see him support Hilary. Given all the trash talking he did to her when they were opponents, all his criticisms of all her still rang true when she ran for Trump.

Yet all of a sudden she's the most qualified person he knows. Same with Michelle saying that "If Hilary can't run her own house, how can she run the White House (inferring that because she cant control her husband cheating, how can Hilary run the country). He can be just as phony as the rest of the other politicians.

I never saw him as the messianic figure some other Black people hoped he'd be though. I'll never forget my Uncle buying a shirt of Obama taking Neo from the Matrix's place on the movie poster.

I do appreciate that he brought dignity to the position though. I don't think the average person cares about deep politics, they care about how the person presents themselves. Whether it's Trump "triggering libs" or Obama being "well-spoken".

the tiny amount of economic benefit we've felt the past 2 years is due to his term. so yea.
