This is honestly a lot of it I think.

Most of the people I know supported Trump because they were either struggling financially while everyone just told them to "get a new skill" (not as easy as they make it sound)

Or they were doing okay but didn't like seeing how much change Obama and others were pushing for (most of them claimed that we were becoming "too European" or something)

And then there are a few who supported him just to be edgelords or shitheads or whatever.

But at this point, most of the people in the first two categories seem to just support Trump now because they're sick of hearing about how awful they were for supporting Trump.

The whole thing is really sad all around tbqh.

Father was American mother is English, father was military posted to RAF Mildenhall met my mother they moved to the States after his tour married had kids ETC he died late 90's from cancer mother moved back to the UK, And I now live in Yorkshire.

I guess we either sell out to Russia or we sell out to the EU, Mexico, Canada and Iran :/

Of course not but you'd have to be an idiot yourself if you think a stupid person could become a self-made billionaire, even if they were given a million dollar loan. If you gave a million dollars to every American, the majority will make nothing on it while having spent most if not all of it within 5-10 years. A stupid person can't turn a million dollars into a billion dollars.

Pure political tribalism.

Trump is the penultimate icon of the anti-SJW. His supporters are more about what he represents than what he actually does.

I think there are a few key for some individuals and they just put blinders on for everything else he says. Like they fundamentally despise universal healthcare and ignore everything else.

I also think it's out of spite for people that go after Trump for stupid shit like multiple ice cream scoops. There's a nearly limitless amount of legitimate things to bash Trump about and you hear nonsense like this way too often. It drives away lots of people on the fence to support a monster.
