I mean, if they were consistent it might make sense. But it appears they aren't critically thinking.
Does Trump deserve to win the peace prize? Probably not. But did Obama deserve? nope. That one guy at least said this, he must be a critical thinker.
Trump actually helped foster peace between two foreign nations no matter your views on this or how much you think he was involved, this is literally fact. So he at least has that.

You didn't know he went to North Korea and met with Kim and had a summit?

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/12/south-korea-increases-engagement-with-north-korea.html

One month since the U.S-North Korea summit, skepticism about Kim Jong Un's commitment to denuclearization still hangs over Washington. But in South Korea, the mood is overwhelmingly optimistic as President Moon Jae-in's government pushes for improved ties with its nuclear-armed neighbor.

From sports diplomacy to corporate ventures, Seoul is pulling out all the stops to re-engage Pyongyang as it builds on the positive momentum sparked by April's inter-Korean summit.

Major conglomerates such as Lotte, Hyundai, Hyosung and KT have announced task forces dedicated to exploring inter-Korean ventures. Meanwhile, a group of South Korean businessmen who operated factories at the defunct Kaesong joint industrial complex in North Korea are seeking government approval to visit in hopes of resuming operations.

Pyongyang and Seoul also agreed last month to jointly improve North Koreas railways and potentially connect them with the South's. Moreover, the two nations pledged to form joint sports teams for the upcoming Asian Games and recently played a series of friendly basketball matches with one another.

So why involve Trump at all if he was not only not needed for anything but infact detrimental as you claim?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_North_Korea%E2%80%93United_States_summit

U.S. President Donald Trump met with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un on June 12, 2018, in Singapore, in the first summit meeting between the leaders of the United States of America and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea). They signed a joint statement, agreeing to security guarantees for North Korea, new peaceful relations, reaffirmation of the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, recovery of soldiers' remains, and follow-up negotiations between high-level officials. Immediately following the summit, Trump announced that the US would discontinue "provocative" joint military exercises with South Korea and would "eventually" withdraw troops stationed there.[2][3]

That Nobel Peace Prize that Donald Trump thinks he deserves for his efforts to strike a denuclearization agreement with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un? Alas for the presidents ego, it is receding like a mirage into a distance defined by diplomatic difficulties. Which is to say, it is increasingly apparent that the vague agreement Trump and Kim signed amidst huge pageantry, pomp, and propaganda may not be worth the paper it was written on.

Thats not to say that Trump doesnt deserve some credit for ratcheting down the belligerent rhetoric with Kim and embracing negotiations. He does. But by forgoing the detailed diplomatic preparation before the Singapore summit, he went about these negotiations in a way that made that goal even more unlikely.

trump has already admitted that nothing concrete came from that and even congress knows trump is blowing smoke up everyone's butt. his involvement is only going to hurt south korea's chance at achieving peace.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/congress-moves-to-force-trump-to-come-clean-on-north-korea-talks

President Donald Trump is gaslighting the planet about North Koreas nukes, according to a well-connected analyst. So Congress is moving on multiple fronts to force the White House to come clean on its negotiations with Pyongyang.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers has introduced a bill that would, in the words of an aide involved in the process, give the administration some diplomatic training wheels and ensure that officials dont agree to give away more concessions before North Koreas nuclear capabilities are fully evaluated.

Meanwhile, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee is demanding an official assessment from the nations top intelligence chief on whether the presidents positive outlook on the negotiations holds water.

Trump claimed after his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore that the nuclear threat from North Korea is no longerdespite his own White Houses claims to the contrary.

Jeffrey Lewis, a nonproliferation expert at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, compared the administrations recent declarations of success regarding the negotiations to gaslighting.

some important highlights

Donald Trump was elected US President in 2016 with a position of opposition to Barack Obama's policy of "strategic patience" towards North Korea. While advocating a tough stance, he also expressed openness to dialogue, saying he would be prepared to "eat a hamburger" with Kim. He put himself at odds with military allies, saying that it would be better if South Korea and Japan protect themselves. In return, a pro-North Korean website, DPRK Today, described him as a "wise politician".[9] The editorial suggested that Trump might make the slogan "Yankee go home" a reality.[10] In 2017, Moon Jae-in was elected President of South Korea with a promise to return to the Sunshine Policy of friendly relations with the North.[11]

On the 10 of May, three Americans held by the North Korean regime were released following the advanced negotiations between the Trump administration and the North Korean regime and immense pressure by the Trump administration for their release. Some have speculated that their release was part of an attempt of the regime to motivate the US to continue the negotiations and perhaps ease the pressure upon the North Koreans. Nevertheless, their release has managed to ease the tensions between the Trump administration and the North Korean regime, enabling both sides to proceed to further negotiations, possibly leading to the 2018 North KoreaUnited States summit.

Subsequently, Trump and Kim signed a joint statement, titled "Joint Statement of President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong-un of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the Singapore Summit", which Trump described as a "very important" and "comprehensive" agreement.[163]

The document said:[164]

President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work towards the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

In addition to the numbered provisions, the joint statement also mentions Trump's commitment to providing security guarantees to North Korea. Follow-up negotiations between Pompeo and an undetermined high-level North Korean official are also called for by the joint statement.[163]

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-southkorea-trump/south-korea-president-says-trump-deserves-nobel-peace-prize-idUSKBN1I10OD

SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korean President Moon Jae-in said U.S. President Donald Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to end the standoff with North Korea over its nuclear weapons program, a South Korean official said on Monday.

President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. What we need is only peace, Moon told a meeting of senior secretaries, according to a presidential Blue House official who briefed media.

Wow.

Probably just trolling. If I was participating in an official poll, I would say I'd rather date an ms-13 member, an Isis member, a serial killer and all kinds of other terrible people over a trump supporter, just for the sake of trolling. In truth, I wouldn't date any of them. I'd be open to a friends with benefits scenario with a trump supporter though, because I wouldn't see her as dangerous like with the other groups.

Perhaps NK will relapse into what they were before. That doesn't mean that Kim didn't agree and sign an agreement which was an accomplishment.

You know, it is kinda funny how this goes.
First it is "Trump did nothing and cannot claim any credit!"

And now it will be "oh it didn't work! That is because of Trump! 100% he didn't do things right!"

You can't have it both ways.

To be fair, I said in my OP that he doesn't deserve the prize but rather that compared to Obama he would deserve it a whole lot more. But that is only because we know why Obama won was because Europe wanted to kiss his butt. So that is not a high standard.

The one who said Trump deserved the prize rather was South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

The real irony is these statements you just made:

1. You want Trump awarded a literal participation trophy.

So you didn't read the OP, nice.

2. Can you even call such a thing an "agreement"?

Do you somehow think a real agreement cannot be broken? Like when you get a loan for a car, that it is not an agreement if you fail to pay it?

3. One of the rights biggest sources of contention with millennials.

? We are all millennials here bro. Or are you 13?

4. Do you Trump supporters possess any self awareness?

Might try asking them. I on the other hand possess the self-awareness to destroy each of your low effort strawmans as such.
But it is also ironic that you defend the young people in the video who believe Obama deserved the award without any reason to explain why.

edit: so I see you don't think Obama deserved it, what then do you think of these youngster saying he did when they have no reason why? Curious if you defend them or not as I thought you were.
