i'm hesitant for disney right now just because of the expense? but i'd like to go eventually. i'm just not sure about now. i think universal is less expensive. i'm scoping out tickets for everything right now.

5 days for any one isnt enough tome. Ive already been to Disneyland and Universal Studios Halloween. UVS was awesome but one night. We spent 2 at Disneyland and still didnt have enough time.

i'm thinking about doing 2 at both parks and then heading home.

if i look at the rides i may do 4 days at one park if i really feel like it. depends on the expense. i'm doing an excel spreadsheet to look at each park.

i honestly might want to just do one trip at universal studios.

4 days at universal would be a waste. I'd do 1 at Knott's and then 2 at universal. Day 4 go back to universal if you haven't got it all or go to six flags if you're over it and want more ridey things

i think if i'm going alone i actually may do 2 days at universal and 3 days at disney.

i can feasibly do that trip for around $800 on my own.

If you can get them cheaply then do it if you're planning on visiting the park often. Otherwise it's not worth it.

if i go to universal it's cheaper to buy the season pass than two general admission day passes so i'd do that anyway.

if i get this new job i'd start at the beginning of august most likely. i'm not sure if i'll do a trip this big but i definitely want to go do something before i start. i may just go do an airbnb and sit on a beach somewhere even for a weekend with ernie. i'm not sure yet.

Knotts and Six Flags. I love Disneyland and Universal (I literally did that for my honeymoon last year), but I've never been to Knotts and Six Flags, so, would wanna try something new.

Knotts berry farm is garbage now. Dirty and run down. Used to be so amazing and had so much more character. Now its just a worse six flags

California Adventure is more of a half day park.

If you have 5 days, why only visit 2? Otherwise, the answer is pretty obvious:

tc are you a huge roller coaster fan? i am and would choose magic mountain easily. They are probably 2nd best in the world behind cedar point

After reading more responses and your reasoning. Definitely go universal and Knott berry farm. Universal for the exploration like Disney land but cheaper and Knott for the roller coaster experience at a cheaper price. Also knotts is flippin beautiful.

Knotts berry farm is kinda my familys thing.. my parents, my aunt and two of my uncles all worked there in the 80s. My grandparents (who both died this year) lived right next to it. I stayed there two to three times a year. They used to give them ten free tickets a year to make up for the noise of the park. They had a great relationship with all the families close to the park. They had a great atmosphere and it was more of a family place.

But about ten years after the cedar point people bought it, they changed. They focused on their roller coasters and did away with most of the old west themes. They stopped giving free tickets and instead started trying to buy all the houses surrounding the park so they could expand. They started sending letters weekly about buying property.

The park is dirty now. Nobody gives a shit anymore. Its like a rollercoaster tycoon park 60 years in.
