I read most of the dialogue and in-game text out loud in different funny voices depending on the characters :P it's fun and helps me practice spoken Japanese by mimicking.

@DevsBro what are you trying to accomplish with your current line of posting in this thread? maybe you should do what @CyricZ said and check that, cuz you're spouting nonsense right now. the literal first line of the wikipedia article for the UK says "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the United Kingdom (UK)[10] or Britain,[note 10]". i don't understand why you think saying that is like saying "The United States of America and Michigan". it's not. at all.

I didn't understand that part, but I believe him to be saying that British accents exclude NI due to it not being part of Britain

Just trolling the guy who found it necessary to get overly particular about the term "British accent."

the idea that you can now make a career out of streaming is super poisonous to gaming, it will lead to its downfall imo

But can you though? The scene is getting more and more crowded and competitive by the day; does some random really have much of a chance to get a substantial enough following to make a career out of it?

yea it's pretty damn hard now, but that's not the point im making.

the point is that now there is a dream in place for potentially every kid that they can make a career out of streaming or get famous for it, or at the very least make money (for a kid that has $0 income, making money out of gaming has always been very lucrative).

so what will, and probably already is happening is that now many people are going to play games not because they like them but because it's their dream to be famous and adored and make money and get shit for free, and whenever you add a profit incentive into an activity that never had one it doesnt really bode well.

reminds me of youtube, for example, where it started out as people having fun and making funny videos because it was enjoyable, and now that you can make a living from it, the site is all people baiting views, trying to game the system, etc.

this is an old man rant but i kind of see gaming going in this direction in the future, where increasingly more and more games will be designed as to provide as content for histrionic kids to broadcast themselves moreso than games designed just to be fun, if that makes any sense

Yeah, if games actually do become like this, they I may just quit or just stick to older games.

Though since I primarily game on Nintendo, I don't foresee them following that trend for a long time, but Nintendo does eventually catch up with the times...

Talking to yourself is a great stratrgy for people with ADD.

i have add and never bothered with this

i just expend more energy to force myself to concentrate on what i need to concentrate on

and if i dont, to avoid the boredom nap i bring pen and paper, and do something that i can focus on
