idk, I guess Malta? Mexico is a shithole -- corrupt government, massive levels of violence, whole towns seceding, etc -- so that's definitely off the list, despite being probably the most significant nation there. Malaysia is also heavy on crime and corruption. Maldives is a great vacation spot, iirc, but not much else.

Mauritania you mostly hear in the news in regards to kidnappings (and, while googling to double-check that, I learned it was the last country in the world to outlaw slavery... which it did in 1981 >_>). Madagascar is supposedly a decent vacation spot but, again, not really much else. Ditto for Marshall Islands.

Malawi and Mauritus I hadn't heard of. Guess both are in Africa (or near Africa, since Mauritus is supposedly an island nation)

Fun fact (well, it's John Oliver so could be horseshit): Mexico is the third-most dangerous nation for journalists, only behind Syria and Iraq -- both of which are active warzones.

I voted Malta, i have done a few reports back when I was in school on Malta, and it is kinda interesting country, and I would like to visit it one day

Assuming you don't live there or visit anything except a designated tourist area. Say what you will about the US, but at least we don't have buses of students murdered by crime bosses with the help of the military. And it's rarer for politicians to get murdered.
