To be fair, it's at least partly made of wood. And most people in horror movies never really truly believe the supernatural is real, so they tend to make decisions that "make sense" in a mundane way, rather than one that plays to the logic of the supernatural. Especially since most people aren't entirely rational when they're terrified shitless.

The implication of the series is that all of the Cenobites were basically tortured for so long that pain and pleasure sort of blur until they're essentially the same thing (the same road Frank was going down).

To some extent, that also flavors the logic of why they come to drag people off who solve the box. They're not doing it to be evil, per se, as much as they are because on some level they consider torturing you to be doing you a favor. They have such sights to show you, as Pinhead says.

??? You're in a nightclub, there are pretty girls everywhere? Nightclub guy is evil, there's always an evil guy. Pinhead had his chance to be a badass but he's going to be an asshole again. Goth girl needs to gtfo, she's going to die.

This nightclub murder scene is really funny to me.

The women in this movie are really likable characters. Even the dumb ones.

The voice acting got a little goofy at times, like it was being dubbed. Strange, but still a good movie.

Ok this one seems terrible. THAT DOG CAME OUT OF HER STOMACH YOUR FIRST REACTION IS "Oh what a cute dog!" This seems like a movie I have to watch with someone else to enjoy. Cut the crap and show me the hell lore.

I'm skipping the investigation babble. It's the pin guy, I know it's the pin guy, you can't keep me engaged watching other people figure out a mystery I already know.

I like the pedophile's computer. It's just a freshly installed mac OS with a bunch of visibly empty folders with random pedophile fetish names.

I especially have a problem with the fake CP site. So you're advertising underage teens, but you've got an "18+ warning adults only" box in there. Seems legit.

Depends. There's a general consensus that 2 and 4 are weaker entries. 3 is very divisive.

There's a shift in tone with 5 and 6, I like them but they are different. Pinhead is in them less though, so you may not appreciate that. 7 and 8 are decent. 9 and 10 were literally not fit for human consumption. And I do mean literally. They made them to preserve their hold on the IP, without any intent to even distribute. Then they got released anyway. Of those two, I'm...sympathetic to 10's situation since the crew actually wanted to make a Hellraiser movie, they just didn't have enough time, budget, studio support, creative input from Clive Barker, or talent. Despite all that, its heart is in the right place.

I only saw the first movie and was kinda disappointed.

The character designs for the Cenobites was pretty creative, even though it seems like they were designed by someone with a leather and piercing fetish. And the scene at the beginning with the guy literally putting himself together was pretty impressive, even if the stop-motion hasn't aged well.

But the whole plot was stupid, and there was a lot more awkwardness than suspense. And no one in the movie could act worth a damn. That's not uncommon for horror movies though.
