Nope. If he had released these recordings as it happened and gave his spin on CE it would have been more interesting. At this point the ending of this trial is a forgone conclusion. I haven't listened to the 4th part but the previous 3 is just Dawkins talking about the evidence and how this will ruin his life. Only interesting thing in my opinion is the part where Dawkins claimed he didn't know if you know someone was in possession of CP you are obligated to report it.

I probably won't listen to another recording from this dump unless he puts out a trial recording or if he argued with a politician on the phone.

To be honest, I didnt know that either. I mean clearly youre morally obligated to report it. I didnt realize you could be charged with a crime if you didnt. If you see someone speeding then you arent charged with a crime if you dont call it in. If you see somebody getting mugged and you run home then you arent charged with a crime for not calling it in. I mean, I can definitely see the cops point of view that turning your back on potentially exploited children is a crime. But Im not sure that in the moment I would have thought of deleting those pictures as a crime. The prosecution essentially argued that the right thing to do was stop everything and turn the computer over to the police. I dont know how realistic that is for an average normal person. Because if I found shit like that Id be scared as fuck, delete it on the spot, and burn the hard drive. And I feel like thats a pretty normal reaction for the average person.

Your line of thought is based Dawkins' accounting of the events and he has a notorious inability to explain the actual reality is of a given situation.

It won't be by me. I don't have time to listen to 40 more minutes of that. My time better spent watching Luke Cage season 2. If you are still looking for why he got searched my guess is it won't be in these videos. He is still talking to public defenders so if it is like the 1st three parts probably more arguing over evidence or him saying he is poor he can't make it to court.

If he were to release uncensored audio of trial recordings maybe that would feature the cops explaining why he got searched.

The first two Dawkins audio leaks were exciting. It has gone downhill from there IMO. It is just a rehash of the first two tapes with the same stuff being discussed. Unless someone has watched parts 4-6 and something different happens. Like if he cries again like near the end of part 3 and tries to compare watching CP to watching ISIS videos.

It is probably more of him saying stuff like I don't know what is happening. I don't have the money to go to court so many times with a sprinkle of he has a disability here and there. Like I said earlier I will probably listen to trial audio since we would get a chance to hear the other sides story. Right now we only hear Dawkins point of view which thanks to real life spoilers we know Dawkins doesn't win. I feel he may have left some stuff out like the other user said there is a hole in this story that hasn't been answered. What sparked the original search of Dawkins? Cops don't just randomly search for CP they had to have been given a tip or some reason to think Dawkins had it.

Yeah. You can also tell the Lawyer wants the call to end but Dawkins keeps talking. I don't remember which of the 1st three parts it was but the Lawyer wanted to end the call at 10 minutes in and Dawkins says one more thing and the audio goes on for another 10-15 minutes.

God help me, I listened to the last video in its entirety. I only skimmed a few parts.

First of all, its amazing that Dustin turned the entire public DEFENDERS office against himself. LoL. How do you even manage that? It sounds like the public defenders want him locked up more than the DA!

So heres the most basic summary of the video... Dawkins is bitching because he just cant accept that this thing is going to trial. Like 90% of the video is just him personally trying to come to terms with the fact that this thing isnt getting dismissed. Hes basically just calling his public defenders boss because he feels like hes owed a dismissal. The head public defender even lays a smack down with the state of North Carolina isnt in the habit of dismissing people charged with child pornography. That shit should be audio clipped and played at the start of every Dawkins thread. I was like, Damn! The whole video is just the public defender trying to drill into Dustins head that he is going to trial and he has to be there.

No new information about his case is revealed. What is funny is that somehow he pissed off the entire public defenders office and they even complain about him recording their conversations! Its not explained in the video, but apparently Dustin did something that really irked their office. They seem a little pissed off that he signed something. My guess is that they were working on a defense and then he decided to take the case into his own hands and push them into a trial with a not guilty plea. Then he must have sent out a few threatening letters to various people claiming the public defenders office wasnt doing their job, told people he had their phone conversations recorded, and threatened them with disbarment. And um... the public defenders office was not amused.

Oh... and apparently Dustin makes $735 a month.

With how stressful the job of a DA is i can't imagine how much of a headache he is for them. He's taking their team away from other defendants with his bullshit and on top of that he torpedo's all of their work by trying to do the case himself.

Part 3: The is a long one at over 26 minutes. It was a one sided conversation with his Lawyer sounding like he wanted the call to end. This Synopsis is paraphrased with the phrases in quotations being very close to the word for word of what Dawkins said.

Synopsis- Dawkins complains about his right to a speedy trial being violated. Said he was worried about being arrested for being too poor to travel to court. Lawyer tells him sentencing happens immediately after trial. Dawkins then asks if there is a period before sentencing. He then talks a bit about how they have no way to prove it was him. He talks about wanting to bring up ADA violations since they were off about his time living at the house the CP was found. Lawyer said you don't want to deal with federal charges. He rambles a lot more and wonders why they won't give him a different plea deal. Only one that involves him getting probation and being put on registry is being given. Says his "computer has been kidnapped for several years" which he needs for school. He talks about what plea deals he would accept. He brings up being treated unfairly because he is poor and disabled.

You understand that GameFAQs literally policy is to delete that shit and pretend it didnt happen. Years ago, apparently people in a GameFAQs chat got flooded with CP images. To my knowledge the regular users there did not report it to any authorities. The mods banned the user and deleted the images. Now youre saying that all the people in chat were guilty of a crime and deserved to be on a sex offenders list.

I was in the chat when that happened. Atleast 3 people including myself reported it to the website creators and the police. I gave the police a link to the room they were sharing and screenshots of them trying to get people in there and thats all they wanted from me. Dont know what came of it. So the issue was reported to authorities and taken care of.

A rule of thumb is you should try to cover your ass. A normal person would report it so that they can say I reported it. I knew these images or whatever crime took place was wrong and I told a higher power such as reporting it to the mods of a specific site such as Gamefaqs or a porn tube site. Or to the cops.

If what Dawkins says is true that he found it while fixing someone elses computer all he had to do was report and he would have been given immunity from any charge. He didn't and so that why he is a sex offender. Here is something I found while doing research on the North Carolina reporting stuff...



Now that mistake of age thing is interesting. If you watch a video and didn't know it was CP you can't use that as a defense. So those people checking out Angie Verona nudes can get in trouble if she was 17 and they didn't know it.
