this game is great so far

Im loving the sound track

controlling mario feels great as usual

I spent my first bit just running around that initial hubworld activating all the lamps

then in the first REAL world got me the first moon, was trying to figure out why 8 bit enemies and stuff are on the rocks. i CONTROLLED CHAIN CHOMPS and a BIG OL DINOSAUR (he didnt care when i jumped on him) and ate some chain chomps but also found CHOMP THROUGH THE ROCKS moon

i also managed after like 10 mins of trying to get up to the check point on top of the stump, not sure if im supposed to be up there but i did!!

oh yeah also forgot to say i found a random picture frame with nothing in it under water, doesnt seem to be anything i can do with it now.

only complaint so far was the camera was kind of wonky underwater

I'd like to wear some with amiibo (I ony have 2 any way, I assume they don't work - Sonic and Mega Man) but apparently they give you hints and I don't want no stinkin hints.

anyway I did a ton more in that first world. im surprised theres 25 moons there , its so small.
I got to play a bunch of SMB Classic , gotta play it like Ed Bellis would *stares at mushroom as it goes off screen... contemplate life*

I found snapshot mode (No FPS cameramode?) and the map screen and whoa the map is awesome, I love that style, like a guidemap. I spend like 5 minutes reading all the stuff on it.

"if you look closely at the stone walls you will notice fossils mixed in. think of it as natures mosaic and remember it always" ahhhhh

Also neat you can warp to check points, that should be helpful in the bigger levels

bouncing chain chomps into other chain chomps to break walls or whatever is good fun

GIRL BUNNY FIGHT oh god now I'm a murderer of 2 bunnies. That fight was hilarious though. Gotta knock off Chain Chomp's Smooth Criminal Hat to take control of him

MULTIMOON ATOP THE FALLS

im gonna try to bold the moons i get when I get them but I already didnt do the first bunch and I'll start numbering them after this post but I forgot to and I'll do a better job next time I play lol

did notice the moons werent listed in order. I got like 1 4 and 5 or something before the multimoon which was #3 on the list.

Cappy is telling me to leave the level yet NO FUCK YOU I DIDNT GET ALL THE PURPLE COINS YET (what do they do anyway when you get all in a level? I got all of them in the level, nothing appeared to happen).

Got the MOON ON THE HIGH CLIFF I guess after you beat the boss the whole level changes "shape" and theres new stuff everywhere? Thats sort of neat , gotta rexplore the whole level all over again but luckily since the game is fun its not a chore at all. a mediocre game and that mechanic would kind of suck especially with no indication to what changed, but works in a great one like this game

a parrot told me about a TREASURE AT THE WATERFALL BASIN so i went there and hey i found it! i want to be a parrot tho

i also found an ODD STONE that i cant do anything with yet HMM- EFJOUDHWIY&GD&YWD OMG I FOUND CAPTAIN TOAD hi @Whiskey_Nick he gave me a moon. HE'D JUMP FOR JOY BUT.... Y'KNOW omggggg GOOD MORNING CAPTAIN TOAD

naturally i bounced on his head like 30 times in a row and i must say im glad this game lets you easily consecutively bounce on someones head unlike Galaxy and Sunshine where the momentum led you off of their heads

found another pipe, did some chain chomp cue shot physics got NICE SHOT WITH CHAIN CHOMP

went through the new door that appeared and another 2d portion with weird but cool music.

Got all the purps at this point. What do they do?

At this point I noticed it was kind of weird to keep track/count the moons since one moon counted as 3 but only shows up as one. I also found out regular coins are lives? I have like 80 already if you only lose 10 >_>

I didnt know he'd give me another hint tho so he told me about some Dinosaur Nest moon that I'm not sure how to get yet, I tried busting all the breakable blocks in the level but I couldnt get to some

ok so I have 16 moons so far (including the triple)

best part was when I fell off the cliff as dino mario, that was a good laugh

anyway thats all for now i generally tend to write these after im done playing i guess lol.

this game is too magical to update with commentary so often

not to deprive b8 of comments but there are a LOT of fucking moons in this game -- like Korok seed numbers -- and you seriously don't want to do a write-up for every one you get

just update every few hours imho and enjoy what is probably the greatest Mario game of all time
