Aside from the ugly, annoying feminist chick that joined the crew, why were people whining about and trashing on this movie so much exactly? I stayed out of the loop to avoid spoilers.

the fact that it was marketed as a movie about dinosaurs getting out into the general pubic like in the lost world, but half the movie took place in a mansion

Overall I liked it but one part was so fucking stupid

I think because they had some sort of crazy unrealistic expectations on how THEY wanted Jurassic Park to be like in their dreams, but they never got it

That or they look at rotten tomatoes and follow all their opinions of the movie instead of thinking for themselves

Agreed. That was terrible. Loved the rest of the movie too.

Being are just being dumb, JW:FK is a good sequel and the goofy villains are amusing with how stupid they are low balling for price.

I get ya. The preview showed the mosasaurus going after the surfers so I also thought the second half of the movie would involve hell breaking loose like in Lost World. I guess that'll have to wait until the third movie.

It's an extremely flawed movie. Nearly every character with the possible exception of one was a total idiot for plot convenience at some point during the film. Characters made decisions that went completely against their established characterizations, made dumb ass mistakes, and were even less fleshed out than they were in the first film.

There were also some cinematography issues that bothered me a lot as a filmmaker, but I admit that stuff's a little more nitpicky as most general audiences wouldn't notice and/or care.
