They always have only 1 register open an even at peak times.

There are two of them why is the other even there?

Yeah at that point I usually go somewhere else.

Or just go in, I prefer to wait in a long line in the store than be in a huge car line in a drive through

Wendy's used to be pretty damn good for fast food. Now it's just ok imo. I'd put it above BK and McD's but not above Jack in the Box really.

My favorite is the game places play with the cheese upcharge.

Like, they'll list two different prices on the menu board, you order the hamburger, ask you if you want cheese, you tell them 'no', and they charge the higher price anyway. When you ask why they charged for the cheese they'll say 'oh, that comes with cheese'.

Moments like that make me think of the movie Falling Down. Like, why lie to people and list the separate hamburger price if you refuse to give people that price? You might as well just list the cheese upcharge price and be done with it. Why carry on a charade?

It makes me wonder though, for countries outside the US that have the self-order kiosks, does that eliminate the BS?

Cliam you're lactose intolerant and demand a new order. It should be free since they fucked up the order by not listening

I'd call it a mix of a church rush plus welfare recipients.

In my area the churches do multiple services. So there's a 10am Sunday rush and the 12pm rush.

Anyway, that lactose intolerance thing might be a good idea. If I cared enough I would call a corporate 800 number and ask about why there's the charade of two separate menu prices, one for a hamburger and another for a cheeseburger, when workers refuse to give people the hamburger price.

Too bad I don't live in a 'single-party consent for recording' state though, as recording whatever official response is given and then posting that online might be worth a laugh.
