They went as far as they always did. And the Hayes got pissy that they made fun of his religion after being A OK with taking shots at every other religion and other celebrities out there. South Park is essentially a roast for whatever issue they're tackling. There's been other stories out explaining why he left but he did say he took exception to the Scientology episode and the timing of him requesting to leave is too much of a coincidence.
