Lots of Jews did leave Germany. That's not to say that the ones who stayed should be blamed - what were they supposed to think? That staying would eventually lead to them being exterminated?

Well, this was 1934.

Eveyone knew Hitler hated the jews but it wasn't really known how far he was going to take things.

Besides, antisemitism was very common in those days and it wasn't taboo like it is today. Most people didn't give a shit that Hitler was antisemite, just like people didn't give a shit about the tsar's antisemitic policies in the Russian Empire a few years before.

If you read newspaper articles from the years before the soviet revolution, you'll see that jews in America were very critical of the tsar and were calling for people to do something about what was happening to the jews in Russia.

It literally took the holocaust for people to start paying attention to antisemitism.

I don't know if this was historically accurate but in the late 90's I saw a made for tv mini series about Hitler that told the tale of his life from birth to when he became elected Fuhrer. and in WW1 he almost died in battle and a Jewish officer rescued him. and the miniseries implied that Hitler felt resentment at being saved by a Jew.

The Nazis already had fully-functioning concentration camps by 1934. Dachau opened in March 1933. Even without foresight of knowing what actually happened it wouldn't be crazy to think you you could be next given how extreme the Anti-Semitism was getting.

Complete nonsense and fabrication. It's almost direspectfully insulting to history as nearly the complete opposite is true.

Adolf Hitler and his family had a Jewish doctor who he admired, loved and respected. Dude was a family friend who treated Hitler in childhood, looked after his mom when she got cancer and Hitler went out of his way to enquire about and assure was safe. Giving him special protection, helping him relocate to America with money in 1940

He's infamously (and possibly exaggeratedly) refered to as "The Good Jew" by Hitler's family and friends and he caused a bit of a hullabaloo among the Jewish community when he denied all the rumors about Hitler's childhood (that he had one ball, was a sadist and violent and screamy etc) and pretty much just said "Not really, he was like a normal kid."

Hitler was one of the most evil men who ever lived but that doesn't mean you should just make up random shit about him that wasn't true and believe it to smear him some more. There's more than enough mass death and suffering to smear him with already.
