But most of them have outdated views on women. They can be super controlling and tempermental. Not all of course but a lot. And if they arent, then their family will be super traditional. And I strongly believe you marry into the family. So theyd have to be westernized and from a westernized family before I considered dating them but most are first generation so its unlikely. I dated one Arab guy. He was super nice at first, extremely polite and a big gentleman. After one coffee date he wanted me to stop talking to any guys I knew, would call me incessantly to know of my whereabouts and was super judgmental of people. The majority of them are like that. Our culture promotes it. Thats just a fact. Jealousy is seen as an aspect of love. My dad is like that. My brother is like that. All his friends are like that. The middle eastern guys at my school were like that. Every single time my mom is watching an Arab soap opera, there is a scene where a man slaps the woman, in a fit of rage or jealousy.
