This isn't my first topic about it but that's because I'm still really bummed out that Zelda and Sheik are different characters. I wasn't really able to get into 4 much because the inability to transform between the two like I had been loving since I was a kid playing Melee at a friend's house just didn't feel right. I really wanted them reunited, and they're trying to bring everyone else back but I don't feel like I'm getting mine back, and it just really sucks.

It'd be nice if for these characters like Samus, Zelda, and Charizard you could choose if you wanted them merged with others or not, then everyone would have what they want.

That would be almost pointless because nobody would choose to not have them merged except Charizard mains

And? In Brawl we had TP Zelda turning into Sheik. And summoning ST armor in 4. And ALBW Zelda summoning ST armor now.

Clearly mixing and matching hasn't been a problem for them.

TP Zelda looks closer to OOT Sheik.

The other I will give you, but ALBW turning into OoT Sheik looks way too outlandish.

Why does it matter if Zelda and Sheik are merged? It's better that they aren't merged because they get an extra B move instead of having a move wasted on them transforming.

That has to be one of the silliest reasons for not wanting to get the game

Yeah really. It only made them better as individual characters since they aren't missing a move now (especially Zelda.)

tbf tc clearly really enjoyed playing as both at once. And it was a fun feature. Zelda will be a lot better in this game too because of dash cancelling

I want to get it, I'm just not sure if I'll be able to enjoy it so it'd end up being a waste of money.

It's not like a "GRRR THIS GAME DOESN'T HAVE X SO I'M NOT GETTING IT".

It's just... Zelda not being able to turn into Sheik and vice versa just feels wrong to me. I wasn't really familiar with the Zelda series other than being able to recognize Link, since I was new to gaming. I was told about Zelda transforming, and she's who I've mained ever since, and I would have strategies involving going back and forth as needed. Plus it was just plain fun. Being able to do so is just kinda closely associated with the series for me. Without it, Smash just doesn't feel enough like Smash to me.

hmm...im not sold on it, but for different reasons. I think i will personally be happy playing 3DS smash. I need some new compelling content to make the jump.
