I remember when I was 8 or 9 I knew people die. but back then I was 100% certain of heaven. so I didn't care.

I had a friend who's mom died. and a different friend had a baby little brother die of an enlarged heart. all while I was still in grade school. So I was aware

oh yea and my brother's friend died of asthma

Still haven't realized it.

I sitting back, watching my family die off, wandering around without a life goal and wasting time

I never gave death much thought until about a couple of years ago when I had two panic attacks in a short period of time. Since my last panic attack I've had a content pressure in my head and thoughts of "I'm going to die" have crossed my mind since then. I try not to give it too much thought these days as if I do it makes me feel quite a bit of panic. It seems these anxiety issues highlight everything I feel. -_-

I mean I was aware of the concept at a young age, but I first truly realized it when I had my first grand mal seizure at sixteen

When I was young, I did the math and there was something like a 97% chance I'd go to hell at any moment given my rate of Confessions Vs. Mortal sins and the time I spent after each.

I realized I'm not an immortal at 17.

When I was younger (don't know how old).

But it was only a few weeks ago that I, for whatever reason, got the loop of 'what happens to my sentience upon death' stuck in my head. And it's sort of stuck in the back of my mind since. Basically regretting ever giving it much thought now. :/

I don't want to die, but there's nothing I can do except hope technology SOMEHOW advances enough to prevent death (unlikely, wouldn't even give that a 0.0001% chance of happening) before I die.

I can't remember exactly what age I was since I was so young at the time (I know I wasn't in school yet so at the most 5, but I get a feeling it was younger than that for some unexplained reason), but I was home alone with my mom and I swallowed a hard butterscotch candy while in the backyard, whole. Yeah...... I started choking for awhile (that feeling I definitely remember, not being able to breath or do anything about it) before she came out and saw me and Heimlich maneuvered me until it came out. I really avoid eating hard candies like that even now.

I had a near death experience with pneumonia, and it scared the hell out of me. I was in the hospital for 10 days total, 3 of those days in intensive care. I could literally feel myself dying, and I honestly did not think I was going to be leaving the hospital alive.

I had always heard stories about how bad pneumonia is, but I never really realized just how bad it is until I experienced it myself. It's horrible, and I hope I never have to go through that again. It was easily the worst and scariest experience of my life.
