Most things can be balanced if they have a good win condition (so survivor is trash.) I think if I were building a game around cultist I would sit down and scribble down some custom roles and make the game semi-open setup. I get closed is 'COOL AND HIP' but for unique anti-town factions I think giving town a bit of an information edge and letting that faction understand what they are up against for town is fair play. Can't just plop it into a 'normal' game and expect it to work out well. To those familiar with my hosting my answer to the first should come as zero surprise. Gambler. I love the gambler role. I love t make it go through protection both ways. A town who will kill themselves if they fail to target and murder scum. Is there a more Chris role that could possibly exist? It requires balls and is the ultimate rush knowing only one of you will be alive when the morning comes. I love giving my players those feelings. There was a game where I was Kratos from God of War, and I was a vengeful revive-if-kill-scum role that returned to the game at a later date and boy were scum surprised when I popped back up. That was just a funny and absurd role though. Actually... Stargate mafia, where I was SK/one man scum team and scum kept trying to assassinate me and my clone kept eating the kill. I did not submit a night kill until the last night and I won the game as SK by manipulating the other two factions perfectly. Each time, the 1 town had fine logic, and each time, that town was mislynched. Actually there was a day of scum lynch mixed in there, but yeah.
