What evidence do you have showing that a man with four balls cannot walk?

All sports are wrong. You don't deserve millions of dollars to throw/hit a tiny ball. Go learn a real skill. They're the reason cable prices are so high. I say get it OFF the networks.

they get it because they deserve it. if they could be paid less to do what they do, then they would be.

The idea of what is deserved/undeserved money is subjective at best...and for most people unreasonable or based on a silly idea of what is "fair"

Athletes generally are actually underpaid when you look at how much revenue they generate. That's just how jobs work, even commoner jobs rarely pay based on society's perceived "value" of how important or difficult the work is.

Sports is like the only thing on cable anymore that would even make me consider a subscription. Everything else is either garbage or you could just watch it on a much cheaper streaming service. How about instead we get things off the networks that don't need to be watched live to appreciate?

No they don't. Nowhere close to deserving it.

Agreed there's a lot of trash but sports is a large part of it. It must go.

honestly it's frustrating how much wealth sports makes, and how little of that wealth goes to places that needs it. I feel that players deserve to be paid well, and the industry deserves money, but a large chunk of that money could go to various charities and public improvement without impacting the lifestyles of those involved in the sports industry.

Plenty of athletes do choose to donate to charities and you could really say this about anybody who makes exorbitant amounts of money. At least most athletes AFAIK don't get into the kind of shady lobbying/political donations that other rich people in other industries do. Sports owners do though since they basically all have business interests outside of sports. That's the real issue for me, I don't mind supporting the athletes, but to do so you have to support the scumbag owners.

Why wouldn't they deserve money they bring in? Athletes are paid as much as they are because sports make a lot of money. It's quite simple. If anything, their cut of the revenue they help generate is actually unfairly low.

Now, should sports make such an obscene amount of money? It's kind of silly that they do, but who are you to tell the entire world that what they enjoy watching is wrong?
