honestly it's frustrating how much wealth sports makes, and how little of that wealth goes to places that needs it. I feel that players deserve to be paid well, and the industry deserves money, but a large chunk of that money could go to various charities and public improvement without impacting the lifestyles of those involved in the sports industry.


Plenty of athletes do choose to donate to charities and you could really say this about anybody who makes exorbitant amounts of money. At least most athletes AFAIK don't get into the kind of shady lobbying/political donations that other rich people in other industries do. Sports owners do though since they basically all have business interests outside of sports. That's the real issue for me, I don't mind supporting the athletes, but to do so you have to support the scumbag owners.
