Should I buy a typical security guard outfit with a fake badge and everything, to show them how serious I am and already dressed for the job? That seems like a good idea to me.

I still wore a button down and tie for my security interview. I did see people interviewing in t shirts and ripped jeans though.

Business casual. At most a button down collared shirt with khakis. Probably just nice blue jeans and a belt.

Dont do a suit and tie for something like this. No offense but a regular security position simply doesnt entail that level of wear. You might come off in a way you didnt mean to. Outside of the business world, suit and tie in general is way too extra imo.
