The one where he turns a piece of rock/metal into a giant arrow-shaped projectile and launches it at high speed. 90 percent of the time the opponent either dodges it, or if it takes the hit then it was something tough enough to survive the hit, like a Homunculus.

But just imagine if a normal human got hit by one of those. The battle would be over right there; that's a one-hit win.

I suppose, yeah. If they're calling in the State Alchemists, it's a problem that needs to be squashed ASAP.

You can get shot with a gun and still be able to fight. If you get hit with one of Armstrong's volleys, you're just done.

I mean, in most cases if a person gets shot, even if they live, they aren't going to be able to fight. Stop watching fictional works and get in touch with reality. You can't just shrug off bullets, except in some extremely rare and specific circumstances.

Gunshots don't always put you down for the count immediately, not to mention vests and such. A bullet isn't a 100% showstopper, but Armstrong's attack is.

If it hits you in a limb, you're very likely to lose that limb. That's likely gonna take the fight out of you.

To be pedantic, a vest would more likely take you out of the fight due to turning a penetrating strike in to a winding blow.

A bulletproof vest won't let you just shrug off a bullet. Chances are you'll fall still, and it'll leave a nasty bruise.

That depends entirely on the sort of armor. Something with a solid plate will absolutely let you shrug it off.

Not entirely, it also depends on the gun. Plate or no plate, you are not shrugging off a shot from an anti material rifle.

Without a plate it'll basically overpenetrate every time and waste lots of energy. There'll be a gaping hole, but it isn't necessary going to drop them.

It will be a large hole and they will drop quick enough. And that's assuming it didn't hit anything vital.

Yes... because when people are talking about getting shot they're talking about getting shot by a gun designed to do shit like stop a vehicle.
