It certainly isn't just "fun" if you have built him up in your mind to be something more, something higher. By making him this boogeyman you believe you are countering him, fighting against him. I still think youre looking too deeply into this. The five or six most vocal conservatives on this board are all people who, conveniently enough, were attention-whoring trolls LONG before the presidential campaign started in 2015, or before the genesis of Trumps alt-right internet base in GamerGate. If youre an attention-whoring troll that says and does things solely to rile people up, and then the Republicans field a candidate that is literally doing that in real life, its easy to jump on that train for easy-mode trolling. It helps that all of the trolls in question are straight white guys who, for the most part, love bragging about how successful they are, thus implying that no matter how much Trump and his policies fuck OTHER people, they would never be affected in a million years.

Until less than a decade ago, I believed a lot of the things globalist puppets like yourself currently believe. Then I started reading more, including history, philosophy, and I learned more about geopolitics, which has helped me shake the lies and propaganda and attain the clear mind I view the world with today.

The fact that you guys don't read - and especially on those subjects - is a good explanation as to why you all appear as detractors here, no matter what I say.

I wouldn't call any of those people particularly leftist at any point in time, though, whereas Vlado was certainly the furthest left person on this board in many respects, for years, and is now one of the furthest right. Like I think you're ultimately right, but it doesn't make as much sense with Vlado as the others for me.

eh, i think it's a bit more complex than this.

back in '04 ulti was already trolling but he also railed against GWB. if he just wanted to troll he could have easily gone the "BUSH IS GOD'S GIFT TO HUMANITY" route (as sephyg has made clear), but he didn't do this. back in those days i actually liked ulti a lot and that was one of the reasons why - perhaps it was cheap for me to like him because he said stuff about politics i totally agreed with in an aggressive "tell it like it is" manner, but that's the way it was. you can argue that he's changed and nowadays his only purpose is to be a troll, but i think there's more to it than just that.

extha actually stated that he regretted voting for trump and that "in retrospect it wasn't worth it." didn't make much sense for him to say that if he's just here to troll.

as for muffin, yeah, he stated that he only supported trump because "IT MADE TEH LIBERALS CRY LOLZ." but over time he took it so far that he's a legitimate diehard trump supporter now. for him it stopped being a "trolling act" long ago.

i don't - i can't look into muffin's head. just basing this on knowing muffin pretty well (it goes beyond just this board - i have him on facebook and i've met him in person).

for me it's all about the frequency and intensity. back in the day he was like "yeah trump sucks but wouldn't it be funny how much the liberals would cry if he became president lawl," but now pretty much all he's doing in the freedom topic is defend every single thing trump does in a super passionate manner. sure, it's possible that he's still doing it just to troll, but he just doesn't strike me as a sess-like guy who puts THAT much time and effort into a trolling act.

I'm still "left" in some respects. Anti-globalism is anti-international banking and anti-corporations, so it's inherently left. The problem is that, today, globalists have taken over what is currently presented as the left. They've turned it from defence of the average person against the powerful "elites" into a circus of divide & conquer among the average people (women vs. men, blacks vs. whites, etc.). Every thought about fighting the rich to stop them from robbing the average worker blind has been long forgotten. The so-called "populists" (which globalist media try to present as a pejorative - as if being a politician who works for the people is a bad thing, even though that is the way the representative system was originally intended) whom what's currently become of the left hate so intensely have taken that fight over.

So the genuine left has nowhere else to go but to the right. Why do you think blue-collar workers voted for Trump (presented by the media as way more to the right) over clinton? Because he promised them jobs, he promised to work to restore their dignity and end their poverty. clinton promised more globalism, i.e. less work for them, more profits for the corporations from cheaper labour abroad. They'd have had to be utterly mad not to vote for Trump.
