I just learned this term the other day, on this board so people who are in the know might have the answer for this. For those who don't know it is when people get their jollies from seeing things being eaten alive.

Here is the question. Do people like seeing the character that are attracted to get eaten or do they like to see them eat something else.

I've only ever really seen the former, since it's closely tied to one of my main fetishes of choice, hypnotism (you would be truly amazed over what a monumental goldmine of fetish fuel Kaa from The Jungle Book is). Obviously the latter exists, but I don't have much experience with it.

I think there's a lot of different fuels for the fetish from the former angle: dominance and submission / helplessness, consequence, and breathplay come to mind. Some vore work ends with the subject blissfully slumbering in the monster's belly (usually when it's linked with hypnosis), some ends with the subject struggling to breathe and nearing expiration. It's kind of rare to see things through to the inevitable end in vore, at least in what I typically see; death is occasionally implied but rarely shown.
