Former President Bill Clinton suggested the "norms have changed" in society for what "you can do to somebody against their will" in response to a question about former Minnesota Sen. Al Franken's resignation from Congress following sexual harassment allegations.

"I think the norms have really changed in terms of, what you can do to somebody against their will, how much you can crowd their space, make them miserable at work," Clinton told PBS Newshour in an interview that aired Thursday. "You don't have to physically assault somebody to make them, you know, uncomfortable at work or at home or in their other -- just walking around. That, I think, is good."

Kinda clumsily stated. Making people uncomfortable in a workplace has never required physical assault, but we are moving in a direction of socially recognizing that.

Bill's not the person I really wanna hear from on this subject, but at least he's acknowledging that it's a good thing that in 2018 you can't behave like, frankly, he did.

This guy is profoundly lucky he came up when he did. He'd have rightfully been crucified. He almost sounds like he's reminiscing of glory days gone by when he could get away with those things and then tacks on an indication that he doesn't feel that way. I don't think that's actually what's happening, but he really could have phrased this better.

I definitely do think that is what is happening. You're seeing a real realignment between factions here. I'm sure he does wish he could still support abortion and use that as political cover for being an abuser

I definitely do think that is what is happening. You're seeing a real realignment between factions here. I'm sure he does wish he could still support abortion and use that as political cover for being an abuser

Because I don't want the Clinton syndicate to disappear me. Just judging by his words, that's exactly what it seems like.
