A local theater is going to be showing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I'm thinking about being the creepy-ass adult sitting in the back row of a theater full of kids just to revisit a movie after 25 years.

It's as sad as it sounds, but I'm totally considering it. And unlike the other four 30-somethings in the audience who won't have kids with them, I won't be wearing a bright green TMNT shirt.

I don't know how it is for your job, but if you were to drop dead tomorrow in most jobs you would just be replaced just like that . I say to to suggest that you don't give up everything for a job. Also don't rag on the other 30s there.

The thing that gets me is that I had a dream where the theater was going to be showing this movie, but I had the wrong time written down and arrived after the film was over. Also, the theater seats were replaced with lawn chairs because dream logic.

It's practically a premonition.

And I can do the responsible adult thing and be a wage slave or I can act like a manchild and skip work for the one good live action movie to ever be based off a cartoon show.

Sorry, maturity. Adulthood doesn't win today!

I called work and played two truths and a lie. Then I went to the back of the theater to sit with the other four unattended adults and watch a kid's movie from 1990. I'm both proud and ashamed of myself, but it was the most bossa nova decision of my life.

Good movie.
I give it three shells out of four.
