They seem to think Nazi Germany was this steroid freak country that only lost because of it's own incompetence. They always disregard the huge obvious setbacks the Axis powers had and only blame **** like invading a month too late, Japan didn't invade the USSR, Germany not waiting for this, Germany not doing that. Okay, lets just ignore the **** which I could write a whole book on lol.

There's another side to it too that claims the USA was like a non-factor in WW2 and it was all won by the glorious USSR, which is just as dumb.

America immediately saw that Hitler was a bad egg and walloped him but good. Then the rest of the world gave us a parade for saving them.

I'm very knowledgeable about WW2 but it's all my own research and reading. My education, going through grade school, high school and a four year university degree, never was WW2 ever covered at all.

Never? That doesnt seem possible, considering that WWII was such a historic event and most countries were affected in some way. School history textbooks, at the very least, usually contain a sizable section on the war. Out of curiosity, what do you think was the reason for you not learning about WWII, except through your own research?

The Soviets would have won in Europe eventually, even without our help.
Given what Stalin did with the countries the USSR liberated, it is true that they wouldn't have been much better off than they were under Nazi Germany.
In actuality, the only reason we ended up fighting Nazi Germany at all is because Hitler declared war on us in solidarity after we declared war on Japan over Pearl Harbor. Given the rising tensions in the Pacific, American entrance into the war was inevitable, but Nazi Germany had many admirers in our country, so going to war with them otherwise would have been much trickier(politically).
