If its a single lesion, taut, and painful you can heat a pin with a lighter to sterilize it and lance it yourself to drain the pus, but if youre having spreading redness, worsening pain, fevers, etc you should probably be seen. Probably not a cyst if its painful like that, more likely that its an abscess. You can apply a warm compress to try and bring it to a head before you lance it, and then keep it covered with an over the counter antibiotic cream.
