She blew everyone away for her slow rendition of NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" but ultimately failed to get a seat on the show after she lost to a duel to James Graham after she sang "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia Rebecca described how she struggled from the backlash back then as she got DEATH THREATS for that song. She said "I saw it the minute it went on Youtube like everyone else. We though, it's not like this is going anywhere. It's not like i thought the whole world was going to see it and pick it apart" She felt like that song DEFINED her as a singer and it haunted her for a long time as it haunted her meetings in the studio and her high school years. She just had to take it in and suck it up as she continued her dreams of becoming a real music artist as her voice matured and she started releasing independently and distanced herself from ARK Music Factory, the label that released her most hated song. She is now promoting her new single "Satellite" that she claims is 100% hers and is proud to have produced and recently MARCHED during the March for Our Lives protest!!
