http://comicbook.com/gaming/2018/06/06/death-stranding-details-permanently-end-multiplayer/

-Tons of weapons, vehicles, gadgets and gear from multiple era's, from clubs to single shot muskets to energy swords.

-The baby is something that exists as a singular, it is not something that is instanced each time you boot up the game. The baby is a single entity. He is what is causing the time distortions and dimensions crossing over, which is multiplayer.

-When the community has reached the end of the game, there will need to be a global decision made to kill the baby and end DS multiplayer forever, or allow it to live and continue the multiplayer experience.

- Players in other games can do things at certain points in time that will have a butterfly effect in your game, this can happen both while you are actively playing or while the game is off. They can be positive or bad things (Stick or rope)

-PVP can happen at any point if you and another player accidentally cross timelines while time traveling.

-When you die that timeline is closed forever, significant things that encapsulate that Sam's story in that timeline will travel with you to the ocean floor before you re-emerge and continue in a new timeline. As you and other players pollute the ocean, it will cause sea-life to die and wash up on shore.

The whole "every player has to make a choice" thing for the ending sounds really dumb if true. It's like the nuke thing in MGS V, except it's probably going to backfire on Kojima real hard.

Sounds like fucking genius tbh. Think of what possible motivations the game could give to compel players to vote for killing that baby and with the added negative of actually ending the game in the real world. They would have to give some incredibly deep emotional reasons to compel people to want to make that choice.

The majority ALWAYS chooses the decision that benefits them the most. They won't be swayed by any kind of plot twist to give up multiplayer.

I'm convinced that Death Stranding could wind up being a 5 minute FMV of Kojima just dropping a steamy shit on Stephanie Joostens chest, and people would call it a bold move and praise his genius for subverting all conventions.

Trolls are a minority. They are never the majority. If a troll option wins, that means no one gave a damn about the contest from the start.

Once you beat the game, you can make nukes which you can use against players who invade your FOB.

They are physical items on your FOB, so players can steal them and then disarm them.

If every single nukue is disarmed, you get a little extra "ending" where Diamond Dogs celebrate the fact that they disarmed all the nukes in the world.

Of course, people hacked this right away. There was also a glitch that caused the event to trigger back in like Febuary I think.

Outside of that I don't believe it was ever actually accomplished legitimately because a ton of people just started mass producing nukes to be dicks.

I hope they don't actually do anything like this. Having some story stuff permanently effect gameplay sounds neat on paper, but in actuality, its just annoying. Like in MGSV, losing Quiet might be emotional for 3 mins, but then not having her for gameplay anymore, even when replaying missions, is just an annoyance. Doing something like this with a whole game mode would suck even more ass.

We're talking about Kojima here

You know, the guy who had his team create a mech battle tank for his open world game, then went and said "Nah, this is too fun. Take it out and just make more checkpoints."
