They also have had a die hard fan base through all the really shitty seasons and while there certainly are bandwagoners its not a team without fans all of a sudden fans appeared from nowhere. Further the reasoning is easy. They are the closest geographical team so obviously they have fans. If there were two teams clearly the support would likely break down differently. Giants/As isn't a rivalry. 9ers/raiders is good natured shit talking but hardly a rivalry. When people think of niners rivals you usually get rams or cowboys with some newer fans that will say Seahawks as there was a brief divisional rivalry. We get back to San Francisco having Warriors > supe...
