It's hard to feel full on carbs.

Fiber is literally the most filling thing you can eat.

Obviously I'm not referring to fiber. Again, the food out there is not filled with fiber. I have to keep vigilant when grocery shopping to get a decent amount of fiber. For fast food, you can just forget about it.

Who the fuck actually eats all that on a regular basis?

Your average American family doesn't bust out the super breakfasts unless it's the weekend. Most weekdays we just have cereal or smoothies or yogurt/granola. Maybe even a bagel if you're feeling extravagant.

Plus, imagine thinking that smoothies and yogurt and granola are bad for you lololol.

Pay attention to the amount of sugar commonly found in those. With that much sugar, they totally are bad for you.

No, it's because of how much filler carbs are in so many of the foods there. Try eating greasy meat by itself. Now try eating it with bread. You can eat more with bread as it'll take longer for you to tire of the meal. The demonization of fat means tons of sugar and other filler carbs in order to achieve fat-free foods with some flavor. It's hard to feel full on carbs.

It depends on the type of carbs. Sugars wont fill you up. Complex carbs and fiber will.

They're not exactly loading their food with fiber.

Hmm... true. The typical person seems to love their bread that has <.75grams/slice

Or at least it plays a large part in the obesity problem.

Besides the U.K no other culture devours 800+ calories on the regular to start their days off.

Eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereal, sausage, hash browns. Yeah its all tasty as fuck but just ditch that shit unless you are counter actively working out soon after to actually get use of all those carbs and calories, otherwise you just get lazy after you est lunch becauae your stomach is almost full by that time.

I guarantee you if you eat around 200-400 calories for breakfast thru brunch and do miniml cardio a day you will lose weight slowly but surely.

It actually disgusts me when i go get coffee for breakfast and someone is ordering a platter + a soda at 9 am. Like save that shit for a full dinner meal or something

Yes, breakfast is the reason american women are 5'5 and weigh 190lbs average(instead of 120 like normal eastern european/japanese women of the same height) or the american male 5'9 230lbs.

Cutting out that 800 calories from their 7000 daily is def gonna fix things, as opposed to them not eating a complete meal(if you call fast food, chips and pure carbs/fat that) 7 times a day.

Who the fuck eats chicken for breakfast? Gotta be careful though, big bad carbo monsters gonna get ya :'(

You realize breakfast is supposed to be carb heavy from a biological standpoint right? Like, you know there's a reason why you're supposed to have carbs for breakfast?
Or are you just a lazy fuck that likes to regurgitate Google searches. Cuz like I said earlier, the only people I ever see getting this triggered over carbohydrates are fat people/people that don't actually exercise.

(Also I love how this article went from '800 calories for breakfast is bad for you' to 'omg how dare you eat carbs for breakfast'. Dem goalposts lol)

Like, I wasn't even originally trying to make a point about carbs vs fats, I don't demonize either of them because I realize everybody's body is different. I was disagreeing with TCs implying that all Americans eat these giant elaborate breakfasts when really the average person has no time for that. But holy shit are people ever triggered by even the mentioning of carbs lol.

HhhHMmmMm why is America fat?

Education system fails you. From handing out poisonous lunches/snacks, to not teaching you how to read or even find a reputable scientific study.

You're surrounded by quick easy bites loaded with refined sugar, horrific amounts of fat/oils, and salt. Food suppliers are concerned with getting you hooked cheaply, not your health.

You get a desk job that sucks the life out of you. Exercise and learning how to cook with whole foods is the last thing you want in your tiny bits of free time.

Starbucks is the only thing still worth getting out of bed for and you deserve your post work fast food binge.

Now your gut health is so poor and fiber deprived that a single bean or broccoli floret turns you into a bloated mess.

Health advice comes from entertainment. Brodude's blog has a new article on a body hacking trick based on a study he didn't read. Your fav podcasting comedian tells you a high meat keto diet and IF cured his joint pain and doubled his testosterone. This is the same guy that flies around the world for stem cell treatments, is on testosterone replacement therapy, and has a weird tinge to his skin that only occurs when someone takes 50 sketchy supplements. He's likely never even actually in ketosis.

This. The sugar and grain producing industry did a great propoganda job in the 50's. People are still treating carbs as things we should be eating on the regular.

All im saying is its hard to lose weight or be healthy when you devour 1k calories for breakfast. Most people sit around 1800-2200 calories per day to maintain weight, having almost 45-60% of your calories being eaten for breakfast is not helping.

Where as every other country i have been to has had smaller portion sizes and healthier foods gor breakfast. Here you see people getting 500 calories worth of food in one sandwich and then washing it down with a 500 calorie frappe

In fact social eating is part (only part, ofc) of the problem in a way, perhaps.
