I guess I have a type, because Ive always been fascinated by the Nazgul (LotR) and the Dementors (Harry Potter). I even still get a bit of a jolly during the Phantom fight in Kingdom Hearts 1.

Geez, I really hope KH3 has more bosses like that. Ive always loved wraith-like monsters. Theyre so goddamn cool to me.

Shadow-like creatures have always interested me, like the Pureblood Heartless of Kingdom Hearts, Quinkan of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3 (which are based on Quinkan rock art in Australia), Dark Gaia Spawn of Sonic Unleashed, Nevi of Gravity Rush, etc.

You ever play MajorMUD? That game had one of those, but its hard to find evidence that the game ever existed nowadays.

On topic: I always enjoyed the lore of Dragon Warrior/Quest and their take on dragons. Early game you have the baby Drakees then MagiDrakees, then the adolescent Wyverns, MagiWyverns and StarWyverns, then finally the adult Green, Blue and Red dragons.

Phoenixes, Dragons and Angels (specially artificially created ones). I remember seeing some cool giant birds in some games as well, but I don't know their names.

Probably a pretty long list. I like various beastpeople (minotaurs, catpeople, gorgons, lizardpeople, mer, etc), giant tentacled things, hydra, giant serpents, dragons, rock monsters, giants, ogres, the undead, etc, etc
