I've seen some for under a $100. One downside is you need the proper cookware. I was referring to the portable cooktop BTW!

The small, portable ones? Potentially very useful, especially in a kitchen with limited space. A full-size stove with induction tops? Easier to clean (since it doesn't burn stuff on as readily) and safer, but not worth spending much more on than you'd spend on a regular stove. Very much a luxury.

I realize, looking at this post, that none of those five sentences was in any way complete. Sentence fragments ho!
