Seems like a huge waste of time. Nothing valuable to learn, no skills to gain. Nothing that will be used in a 9-5 desk job that most people have lol

Well they say, people who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. But now we have a racist in the Whitehouse so maybe that's wrong.

A lot though, especially middle class people

Regardless for most Americans social studies is useless and has no benefit to our careers and daily lives. We dont even gain any skills.

Unless you want to be a historian or government person.

But what history would be repeat? Wars? Most of us arent going to start a war. That only applies to presidents and leaders not us.

these leaders now primary lived in decades of cold war. they're the transition from the past to the future.

one of us will lead and we will be the better leaders than the ones we have today.

True but those people are rare. Few of us will be leaders.

Remember that some people lead and most follow

Im a follower 100%.

My social studies class was mostly about world history so it made me interested in foreign cultures definitely.

Honestly, not to most people. Most Americans don't think about the world on a global scale or the history of it.
