Sean Hannity makes a lot less in advertising than he should given his number, because FOX News has had difficulty getting advertisers for the shows because of things he says/does. Stunts like this can post-load the hit (less people continue to watch the show making it less appealing to advertisers) or pre-load the hit (advertisers pull out regardless of whether the viewership continues).
