Yep. As I said, I don't really care if people don't believe me. Lots of times, my source is my mom. I usually talk to her about things dealing with the law because she's a cop. And she knows lots of people that deal with the law. I'm just stating what I know. If you only believe things with a source, that's perfectly fine. But I still stand by what I say.

Maybe he did. But it could be other people claiming that once they heard about the first one and their minds running wild that he could've possibly abused their children, too. I guess they'll find out more as time goes on.

I agree with you, LinkPizza. Detectives are scum of the earth and almost always take the side of the prosecutor. I know this from personal experience when they did an investigation on my just cause i approached a neighbour. They came to my door, I thought they would help resolve the misunderstanding so i let them in. Big mistake. They ransacked my house, took what they wanted, arrested me for no reason and put me in a mental hospital. They took my journals and read everything i wrote there. They went to my extended family and asked if i molested my cousins because i wrote that i played doctor with one of them when i was little. It haunts me to this day and my only consolation is that they'll fry in hell.

I was watching some prison show and these guys ganged up on a 20 year old and put him in the infirmary because they heard he slept with a 13 year old

A corrections officer confronted them afterwards and let them know that the guy was actually convicted of being sexually involved with a 17 year old. Their reaction was basically just We feel bad, but this isnt our fault we were given the wrong information

My brother in law got 40 years-life for child molestation. He was a fuck up, but never in a million years would I have expected that out of him. The second he got arrested my wife (my gf at the time) washed her hands of him and has refused to not only speak to him again, she forbid her mother to even tell him anything about her life at all. For all I know, he has no idea we ended up getting married.

I can only imagine how hes feeling esp being in jail. Convicts dont take kindly to child molesters, even alleged ones afaik.

One thing that i dont know is...how do i tell other friends of mine this? ive only told my mom so far(she knows the accused) and told her specifically to not gab to my grandma or anybody else(they know of him but never met him) and she said she'd keep quiet.

like, i dont want to lie, but i dont want to blast my friends name everywhere over this. among my close friends I am not worried about potential blowback because these people are reasonable and wouldnt say I am enabling/okay with a pedophile or something else equally stupid because he's one of my friends and i havent dragged his name through the mud as soon as i heard what allegedly happened. But I still feel uneasy outing my friend. Even if when all is said and done and he is guilty, im not gonna go around shit talking the guy, im just going to cut him out and move on.

I think I might name him but tell them the crime was something else, or be nebulous about it. Kinda have to say something I am going on a 4hr each way trip to DC tomorrow and I want people to know why i might not be my usual self. but I am going to try my hardest to make this trip work since i was super excited for it as soon as i knew i could go.

Why do you feel the need to tell anybody else? I feel like you think it's your personal responsibility to do a lot of things here that aren't for you to do. If you're acting off just say you're having a personal problem and leave it at that.

Oh lort. You realize all you can do is be supportive of your friend, right? You can't "fight" for your friend because you're not a detective or an attorney.

I'm gonna assume a kid said something. People well liked and trusted enough to baby sit people's kids don't tend to have accusations come from out of no where.

Exaclty my point, It doesn't matter anymore if he is guilty or innocent. His life is ruined and everyone who finds out will assume the worst. True or not, unfortunately.

You seem unusually personally involved. It's not your responsibility to tell anyone anything else. Support your friend. Just know that multiple allegations for a career babysitter is pretty damning.

Why would you ever try and contact previous employers when there's an ongoing investigation? If you want to help your friend stay quiet and stay out of it. Only communicate about the matter with his attorney if necessary. You posting this topic here is not helping your friend in any way

I suspect I've already found who it is that you're talking about via Google. I guess it's possible that it's a different person in an almost identical situation at the same time, but you may want to be careful what you tell people. They may be able to figure out who it is you're talking about.

i dont have any new information. when the preliminary court date happens i might have more information, but i am going to follow the advice of some people in this topic and not talk about this any more, so dont expect any updates or much of anything from me.
