If yes, how much more? What would be the point of diminishing returns in your situation?

For me, I already have a lot of money saved up so more money wouldn't make me happier. An extra $3,000 right now would make no difference in my life.

I would rather have more friendships and more free time.

It'd just go to paying down my debt

So it'd take off or reduce that stress but I'm not sure it'd inherently make me more happy.

Yes. Give me enough money to retire immediately and I'd be a lot happier.

No, I'm doing fine right now. Any extra money would go towards my mortgage and retirement. The only change would be if I got enough money to retire now. I just want to be lazy, but then I don't like myself as much when I'm not productive.

12 000 for my student debt would take a load off my mind

an extra 1-2k as a cushion would also be nice. I make enough to get by now, but not much more.

enough for me to life off of the earnings/interest for the rest of my life (aka retire) would be the most wonderful thing i could receive. i don't need a lot each year, $42k ($3.5k/month) after taxes would be more than enough.

1 million after taxes and i'd retire and never work again

500k after taxes and i'd quit my job to pursue things i actually want to do that could also make me money. if after 10 years i've failed i'd get a job again

No, what I want right now is a job that directly uses the skills I nearly killed myself to hone and makes what I went through worth doing.

But I will admit, if you gave me money for a new car to replace the headache I have now, I'd be happier than I am now. Still voted no on the poll though.

more money would always make me happier because i could either buy more things or have more to save myself.

if theres no negative or cost, then why wouldn't you always want more money?

As mentioned, there are intangibles in life, such as friendships, meaningful relationships, etc, that additional money cannot provide.

it can tho, I mean no one will be friends with someone who they have to pay everything for all the time without getting the same treatment in return

I'll be more than happy enough to get me and the rest of my family out of debt. You gotta work hard for what you want. But hey, give me $1,000,000 and it'll be good enough.

I have a rather significant amount of student loan debt and a fairly modest income. Of course more money would be immensely helpful.
