Way to attack freedom of speech.

Private entities don't have to give you a platform for speech. The NFL is a private entity.

This is literally not a free speech issue.

You expect Sayoria to know that

They have no right to force you to stand or salute the flag or anthem.

It's a work place. They can.

Maybe get educated on the subject before talking

Or is that asking too much?

Why are we allowing politics in the workplace at all? No one can have an opinion on a flag if there is no flag.

I wonder how people would react if various islamic rules were enforced in a workplace for everyone.

Would people be okay if a muslim owner of a team forced them all to pray/adhere to ramadan?

This entire thread is one big pity party. Personally, I dont like this NFL news, but Im not surprised that it turned out this way. I remember when people were just starting to get fired and otherwise impacted by their offensive actions a few years ago, and a lot of people here were just laughing about it and saying it was fine because the government wasnt involved. It still looked like a dangerous, slippery slope that society was headed down. Now here we are, and I wonder if its going to get worse.

What if they are offensive

Then people would be offended and they'd probably be told to not wear them. There's nothing innately offensive about wearing a BLM shirt. Notice how the NBA was very quick to tell players to stand for the anthem. They were more forward-thinking on the issue than the NFL. Yet NBA players have been very outspoken on social issues. They just haven't done it on the court and in potentially offensive ways, so nobody bats an eye, except for that bitch Laura Ingraham.

Because I'm a huge NFL fan? If they start losing revenue, the teams get less money, and we get a worse product on the field.

What mechanism do you think will cause that drop in quality? Will fewer, less-talented players go into football due to a marginal change in the revenue?

I personally don't care and I'm not offended by the players kneeling, I agree with some of their issues. But I think a lot of people are saying its understandable from the NFL's standpoint, not that they necessarily care personally.
