Woke up this morning, and my room was freezing.

There was at least a 5c difference in temperature from my room to the hallway when i got up to use the washroom this morning.
Why the fuck was my room so cold when i woke up this morning.

And i know I closed my window last night before i went to bed, and how i know i opened it this morning

It could be my window wasnt fully closed.
I went all of September and October like that, so a small crack would have cooled my room off quite abit over night

So jelly. My new apartment does not cool down well. It's over 80 in here before noon. Can't leave the windows fully open because cats. Cracks just don't do it

That sucks, i am surprised how much a small crack can make my room cold over night, if that was the case last night.

My room is the same. The heating in my house is incredibly messed up due to my skylights so when it is a nice comfortable 74f in the living room it is about 85f in my room. Then in the morning it gets to be like 68f in my room while the living room stays the same temperature.

You don't have screens over your windows? That usually keeps the cats in since they aren't strong enough to push it out (like a dog would be).

You underestimate cats. My one cat, Harry Houdini, had figured out how to jump on the screen to pop it out.

Appropriate name...:)

I guess I never had big cats. The cat I had as a kid never got above 10 lbs so she wasn't going to pop anything out.

It's already 25 here (it was at around 11am) and it's only May. Well on its way to breaking 40 this summer (like it usually does). I'd gladly trade you the weather. Really wanting to get back to Calgary, actually.

Cats knock the screens out... Or Houdini does anyway. Can't trust him with them unsupervised.

Heat warning here
