Like, I mean, I guess 4k is cool and all except I don't have a 4k TV and right now the only real "exclusives" it has for me are Red Dead Redemption and Rock Band having my entire DLC collection.

And I just realized that I still have my PS3 somewhere so if I really wanted Red Dead Redemption I could just buy it for that :/

I really can't even be like "Well, I'll just play 3rd party games on it in glorious 4k when I get a 4k tv" cause I got a gaming computer (although it's like 4 years old at this point)

*sigh*

I really wish my friends didn't become such assholes cause they were the only reason I even played this thing.

I was basically able to upgrade my original XB1 for free because I won a bunch of gamestop gift cards from work and they ran a promotion that gave out like 80 extra dollars when I traded it in.

I was also told that games still ran better on it even if you didn't run it in 4k, but I can't honestly notice a difference tbqh.

I really hope they do. 2017 was an incredibly dire year for them when it came to first party games.

2018 is better but these games seem to only really appeal to very specific kinds of people.

Hopefully they bring it this year.

Maybe sell your friends on getting a PS4 or Gaming PC.

There really isn't a reason to own an Xbox X over a gaming PC. You can get a 1070/80 for under $500 now.

I'm the only guy out of my group of friends that isn't a massive Xbox fanboy. They're never going to get a PS4, and a few of them having Gaming PC's but never play them.

Plus, like I said, they've become real assholes and I'm not really wanting to associate with them at all anymore.

Like, I'll probably just keep it just in case I ever feel like playing Rock Band/RDR/Whatever and just pony up the cash for a PS4 when Spider-Man comes out.

But like, if E3 is just like Gears, Forza and Crackdown I'm gonna be super bummed.

Most enhanced games have an option to optimize for graphics or performance, you should probably just switch to performance.

The 'performance' setting is only in certain games.

I'm not sure why people are telling you to get a 4k TV when that's not your issue with the system anyway. You mention you have a gaming PC in the first post. You're probably better upgrading your graphics card instead if graphics were your only issue.

Its not in console settings, its usually in individual games menus as its up to developers how they want to utilize the consoles power.

Getting an Xbox One is considered a waste of money on CE, but buying a 4K TV *just* to play video games isn't.

CE never ceases to amaze me.

Anyways, I'd just keep it cause I doubt you're gonna get anyone to give you a decent price even if it was a free upgrade.

4k is a waste for watching TV. There isn't hardly anything that plays in 4k. Gaming is where most 4k content is.

Some of you guys must be old timers and think a TV on principle must be about watching shows and is a waste to buy one for games, even if that's what 90% of your use is.

Might as well sell it now. Every exclusive they will announce will also be on PC.

4K is a waste in general right now. There isn't nearly enough gaming content to even justify it.
