pre gentrification America seems like a past dystopia. I couldn't imagine visiting another city and the only options I had to eat were chain restaurants in the suburb or in the city lol.

On CE, it's only really the literal communists who bash gentrification. And the woefully uninformed individuals who always want to find a way to blame white people for something. Gentrification is a wonderful thing. The rough parts of the South Side where I used to live when I was a kid are much more livable now due to gentrification. Violence has plummeted, families can actually go outside and take kids to the parks and shit, there's businesses everywhere, you can hang outside at night without being afraid of getting mugged or shot, etc.
