Imagine getting paid $60K a year tax free and having to only pay $50 in rent each month.

People on welfare are very smart.

I only get like $600 a month. Was getting 9 but I moved to a new state and the old state stopped paying some of it and I need to get it sorted out with my new state. And I pay $140 for rent.

The idea to follow suit is so fucking tempting too, I might qualify since I'm a single dad, that means the grocery bill would be null and void at least for half the month or more, and rent would be dirt cheap.

No. I'll work when my mental illness no longer cripples me. Sounds fair enough...

I mean i could probably work from home or something...but how practical is it for an unskilled young man to land that position?

Yeah, in the ghetto. I'm happy making 40k a year, paying taxes, and living in a nice neighborhood with a nice car.

rent is like 1/3 of what you make, and the minimum SSI payments are like 6 bills. No idea where TC got his figure...

it isn't a lot to live on. but luckily there's family if one is willing to accept as a roommate, one just hopes they're financially stable so one doesn't get screwed over.

at the start of the month the rent is due.

I will as soon as you cure my fucking neuropathy, among other disabilities. And I'm almost 40, so I'm not young.

Anyway, I'm also hoping to find a job coach soon.

Only people in their 60s and + say that.

I'm 46 and everyone says "you're still a young man".

Sure as hell don't feel like it when you feel beat to death everyday and you ignore it and keep moving on.

Only thing really to brag about is that my alcohol tolerance has drastically increased.

Just passing time I guess.
